Smoothie King created the original Smoothie Bar in 1973 and has since grown to over 650 locations worldwide. Among Louisiana’s fastest-expanding companies,Smoothie King found their explosive growth hindered by an out of date Point of Sale (POS) and contracted LookFar to facilitate their transition to Revel, a new,iPad-based system. To bridge the gap between Revel’s POS software and Smoothie King’s incompatible inventory management, LookFar created the Recipe Management System – a fully solid-state miniature computer housed inside each Smoothie King location. RMEs are capable of both creating modifiable recipe slips, and precisely deducing used ingredients from Smoothie King’s inventory. Following a successful pilot test in New Orleans, Smoothie King is currently scaling up for worldwide RME deployment, to be supported from the LookFar offices.
Acrew is a resumeless job marketplace that connects job seekers and employers through brief, first-impression interviews. Acrew has won numerous awards including Steve Case’s Rise of the Rest.
Earth Prime is a New Orleans company that leverages technology to bring nature back to city-dwellers. They came to LookFar to design and build their first software product, a companion app to their iGardenX vertical hydroponic garden. The resulting product is a mobile app capable of surfacing information on hundreds of different plants, making it easier for amateur gardeners to keep their crops healthy. LookFar's development team used Xamarin and Azure Cloud to create a single C# codebase usable by iOS, Android, and Windows phones, giving Earth Prime a lightweight but flexible alpha version.
The Peoples Health New Orleans Jazz Market was built to both celebrate and advance our city's most beloved music. In the spirit of mixing tradition with new technology, Market organizers partnered with LookFar to build out an interactive showcase of the orchestra's digital archives. We accomplished this by creating an installation of monitors connected to and controlled by 8 iPads. Each contained a digital archive of photos, videos, audio, articles, and sheet music from New Orleans' musical past. Under tight time constraints, LookFar built, tested, and implemented a custom-designed visual interface. The end result was a rich multimedia experience for visitors, and a fully stable and scalable exhibit for The Jazz Market.

Louisiana Construction and Industry Self Insurers Fund, LCI, offers competitive workers'
comp rates along with great service and coverage to thousands of small and medium-sized businesses across Louisiana. We have written all of the software that LCI uses to run their day-to-day operations. This software has increased their revenue growth by a factor of 20, while keeping their team nimble. We built portals for their agents and members, as well as for their operations and claims admin, as a way to centralize their data and make it readily accessible. In order for members to pay their bills through the portal, we implemented an e-commerce platform. Additionally, we built a full disaster recovery system with a hot standby, which allows them to be operational from anywhere in the world in the event of a disaster.

A significant R&D project, Tchirp is a communication protocol that transmits data ultrasonically. Similar to projects in development by Google and Qualcomm, Tchirp leverages the basic technology available on your smartphone to send and receive messages through high frequency sound - imperceptible to the human ear.
With the ability to send and decode a unique identifier through sound, Tchirp opens up extensive opportunities for proximity marketing and wireless data transfer. Our goal is release of a free mobile app, which will allow anyone to create a profile and start broadcasting.
